Take the minibus as far as the
Colosseum where, having jumped the queues, you will be able to enter the magnificent Flavian Amphitheatre and imagine the spectacle of gladiators, fighting animals, and naval battles that once entertained the people of Rome. As you walk by the
Arch of Constantine, re-live the parades of Roman generals when they returned home as triumphant conquerors and leaving the ruins of the
ludus magnus, the ruins of the
gladiator’s barracks, you reach the
Basilica of San Clemente that truly represents different eras of Roman history. Built up in layers over the centuries, you can travel back in time to Ancient Rome, early Christian, Medieval and Baroque Rome, before continuing on to the Colle Oppio to end your tour with a visit the church of
St. Peter in Chains and admire
Michelangelo’s Moses. End of the tour (no drop off at the hotel)
