| La chiesa è dedicata ad un oriundo della Cappadocia vissuto nel VI secolo d.C. eremita in Palestina e considerato uno dei fondatori del monachesimo orientale . L'edificio è del X secolo , ma ha subito parecchi restauri .All'interno , di particolare interesse , è l'affresco del XIII secolo che ritrae tre fanciulle nude in una camera da letto , scena certo non appropriata a una chiesa . In realta la decorazione rievoca la Leggenda di San Nicola di Bari e delle tre Zitelle : il santo dona loro una borsa piena di monete d'oro, assicurando cosi alle giovani una dote per il matrimonio. | |

| The church is dedicated to a Palestinian hermit of the 6th century AD who was in fact from Cappadocia . He is considered the founder of the oriental monastery . The building has been restored many times and is from the 10th century . Inside the place there is an exceptional fresco from the 13th century, which represents three young ladies in a bedroom . In fact this fresco is the illustration of a famous legend of San Nicola di Bari and the Zitelle ( spinsters) the saint gave them a purse full of gold as a dowry so as to allow to the three young ladies to find husbands . | |
